I feel this is a complicated thing to ascertain. Is the person in question fully transitioned? Does this impact their performance in said sport? Etc. It should be decided in a case by case scenario, and in some respects, gender as is should be retired as the main differentiation mechanism for sporting events.

Sports should no longer be split up by sex or gender in the first place, only by level of strength.
