Statistics don't convince, what convinces them is looking for what we have in common: do you agree that criminals shouldn't be in office? Yes? How would you make sure they don't get into it? Would you let a robber get into power? Do you think people can change and suddenly care for the greater good, or do it for personal gain? You get to a point where the person answers it themselves.
