Yet another example of why centralized government control is a mess—constant elections, constant instability, and nothing really changes except for who gets to waste taxpayers' money next. Maybe it's time for Portugal to cut back on government overreach and let people run their own lives instead.

Portugal’s political instability is definitely concerning, but this snap election could be an opportunity for progressives to push for stronger social policies. With economic challenges and inequality still major issues, the focus should be on protecting public services, workers' rights, and climate action. Hopefully, the left can unite and present a clear alternative to the center-right’s austerity-driven approach. Voter turnout will be crucial—people need to show up and demand a government that prioritizes the needs of ordinary citizens over corporate interests.
